When you purchase a CEBS® Study Guide, you’re granted access to an interactive practice exam. The practice exam helps you prepare for the CEBS exam by presenting an overview of course content. You’ll be exposed to the same types of questions that appear on the national CEBS examination—the straight-answer type and the “all EXCEPT” type. Here are some tips to help you benefit the most from the practice exam.
- Access the practice exam early and often. When you’ve read about half the modules in the Study Guide and any corresponding textbook readings, attempt the practice exam for the first time. After completing an additional module, take the practice exam again. You’ll see your score improve as you make progress.
- Broaden your comprehensive final review using study material references in the practice exam. Once you’ve completed all assigned readings in the course, attempt the practice exam again. You’ll be provided with study material references for each question. Reread sections of the Study Guide and textbook related to any questions that you’ve answered incorrectly. Another way you can utilize the study material references is to examine the content related to each incorrect option of every question. Make sure you understand the reasoning behind all incorrect answers. Access the practice exam as many times as you need until your comprehension feels complete.
- Keep in mind that your practice exam results aren’t the only indicator of your exam readiness. It’s a good sign to pass the practice exam for your course. However, the practice exam should be viewed only as a study aid, not the sole indicator of exam preparedness. CEBS exams are administered under controlled timing conditions and will test a broader, more varied set of concepts. It’s important to carefully read all study materials for your course and review them multiple times at spaced intervals to ensure that you’ve properly prepared for the exam.
